Welcome to the University of Louisville’s Center for GIS Home Page! Through channels of teaching, research, and community engagement, our mission at the ULCGIS is to provide access, instruction, and applications in geospatial technologies. The resources of the Center for GIS are available to professional staff, students, and faculty. The Center for GIS staff and faculty are available to assist UofL administrators, faculty, and the community at large in all aspects of geospatial research.
We invite you to explore the variety of applications for GIS across our community and beyond. Get to know our history and evolution as a Center, our academic impact and educational offerings, and our versatile involvement in the campus community and beyond.
For 25 years, the University of Louisville Center for Geographic Information Sciences has served the UofL community by supporting the collaborative and creative application of geospatial technology in teaching, research, and community engagement. The ULCGIS puts the power of maps into the hands of UofL students, faculty, and staff to understand, address, and communicate the big challenges that we face as a local, and global community.
